"Chiropractors are trained to diagnose, treat, manage and prevent disorders of the musculoskletal system (bones, joints and muscles), as well as the effects these disorders can have on the nervous sytem and general health."

(Definition by the Chiropractic Association of South Africa).

Chiropractors utilise non-invasive treatment procedures and thus chiropractic care may be beneficial for anyone. Chiropractors promote healthy living, this includes regular exercise, proper diets and stress reduction. In the situation where a chiropractor finds that surgery or medication is indicated, the patient will be referred to a medical practitioner.

Chiropractors focus on all joints, including those of the spine, as well as the upper and lower limbs, and are concerned with their functioning and biomechanics.
They utilise careful and gentle manipulation of the body's joints in order to establish optimal alignment and in so doing reduce pain for patients.

Chiropractic care has been known to successfully treat a wide range of conditions. These include, but are not limited to: migraines, headaches, whiplash, neck pain, back pain, tingling in the arms and hands, shoulder pain, arm pain, elbow pain, sciatica, hip pain, leg pain, knee pain and foot pain.

Chiropractic care can potentially treat any condition related to any joint in the human body.
